Automated Tax Document Chaser
Every morning, WebRun opens TaxDome and identifies clients who have not yet uploaded required documents, drafts a polite reminder email in Gmail for each outstanding client, and posts the draft list to Slack so your preparer can review and approve before sending.
How do I automatically chase clients for missing tax documents?
WebRun checks TaxDome every morning for clients who have not uploaded required documents, drafts a named reminder email in Gmail for each one, and posts a Slack summary so the preparer can review all drafts before anything is sent. No client is emailed without your approval.
- Every missing-document client is flagged and a draft reminder is ready each morning
- Preparers review one Slack digest instead of chasing clients manually
- Clients receive a consistent, professional cadence with no duplicate daily nudges

Questions, answered
Will it email clients on its own?
No. WebRun drafts every reminder in Gmail and leaves it unsent. You review the drafts in Slack and decide which ones to send. Nothing goes to a client without your explicit approval.
How does it know which documents are missing?
It reads each client's document checklist directly from TaxDome and compares it against the required items for their return type. Only clients with outstanding items are flagged.
Will it remind the same client every day?
No. It skips any client already reminded in the last seven days, so clients receive a reasonable cadence rather than daily nudges. You can adjust the cooldown window in your settings.
