Automated Signal Shared Link Archive

Every night, WebRun opens Signal, goes through the group chats you nominate, pulls out the links, documents, and images shared that day, files each one in Notion with the sender, the group, and the message it came with, and drafts you a Gmail summary of what was added.

In short

How do I save the links and files shared in my group chats?

WebRun opens Signal every night and goes through the group chats you nominate, pulling out the links, documents, and images shared that day. It files each one in Notion with the sender, the group, and a short description, then drafts you a Gmail summary of the night's additions.

  • Nobody scrolls back through a week of chat to find a document
  • Every shared link keeps its sender, group, and context
  • The archive stays searchable as it grows, tagged by topic

Built for team leads · community managers · remote teams · study and project groups

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens signal.org in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Signal - collect the day's links and files
    signal.org
WebRun in Signal: collect the day's links and files
WebRun opens Signal to collect the day's links and files.
    • Open Signal and go through the group chats you nominated
    • Read today's messages and pick out shared links, documents, and images
    • Capture who sent each one, the group it came from, and the message alongside it
    • Skip anything already archived on a previous run

Done when Every link and file shared today is captured with its sender and group.

  3. 2
Notion - file each with sender and group
    notion.so
WebRun in Notion: file each with sender and group
WebRun opens Notion to file each with sender and group.
    • Open the shared resources database and add a row per link or file
    • Record the sender, the group, the date, and the surrounding message as context
    • Give each row a short description of what the link or file is
    • Tag it by topic so the archive stays searchable as it grows

Done when Notion holds every shared item filed with sender, group, and context.

  4. 3
Gmail - summarise the night's additions
    gmail.com
WebRun in Gmail: summarise the night's additions
WebRun opens Gmail to summarise the night's additions.
    • Draft an email to yourself listing tonight's additions, grouped by chat
    • Show the sender and a one-line description for each item
    • Leave the draft unsent unless you have asked for a nightly send to your own address
    • Never forward a shared link or file to anyone else

Done when A summary of tonight's archived items is waiting in Gmail.

Questions, answered

Does it reply or post in my chats?

No. WebRun only reads the groups you nominate. It sends no message, joins no group, and reacts to nothing. The archive is written to your own Notion database.

Will it email anyone the links?

No. The Gmail summary is a draft addressed to you, and it forwards nothing to other people. If you want it to send that nightly summary to your own address, you turn that on yourself.

Which chats does it read?

Only the ones you name. WebRun reads the specific groups you nominate and nothing else, so private one-to-one conversations stay untouched.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
