In short

How do I reconcile accrued commissions to the general ledger each close?

Each close, WebRun pulls the period's accrued commissions from QuotaPath, reads the commission expense and accrual balances in NetSuite, and compares them line by line. It posts finance a short Slack summary listing every variance largest first, so the commission GL ties out before the books lock, with no manual cross-checking.

  • Commission accruals tie to the GL before books lock
  • Variances surface largest first, not buried in a spreadsheet
  • Read-only on both sides, so no ledger entry changes on its own

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  2. 1
    QuotaPath - pull accrued commissions
    quotapath.com

  4. 3
    Slack - flag the variances
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: flag the variances
WebRun opens Slack to flag the variances.
    • Post finance a short reconciliation summary

Questions, answered

Will it post journal entries in NetSuite?

No. WebRun only reads the commission accounts in NetSuite. It compares them to QuotaPath and posts an internal Slack summary, and never creates or edits a journal entry in the ledger.

What counts as a variance worth flagging?

Any line where the QuotaPath accrual and the NetSuite balance differ. WebRun lists those largest first and leaves the clean lines noted, so your team focuses only on what does not tie out.

Does it change any commission figures?

No. It is read-only on both sides. WebRun surfaces the difference for a human to investigate and correct, and never adjusts an accrual or a GL balance itself.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
