Does it renew the order itself?
No. WebRun only flags the expiring order and drafts a reminder. The physician still writes the renewal and the unit clerk approves the text before it sends.
How far ahead does it flag an expiring order?
By default it flags orders expiring within 24 hours, so there is still time to reach the ordering physician. The look ahead window can be adjusted in your run settings.
What if the order was already renewed?
It checks WellSky for a new order on file before drafting a reminder, so any order already renewed is marked renewed in the log and skipped automatically.
