Automated Quicken Bank Feed Sync Checks

Every morning, WebRun opens Quicken, reads the last download date and balance for every connected account, works out which institutions have sent nothing for days, posts the stalled list to Slack, and texts you when a main account is the one that went quiet.

In short

How do I know if a bank feed stopped downloading transactions?

WebRun opens Quicken every morning and reads the last download date for every connected account. It flags the institutions that have sent no transactions for days, posts the stalled list to Slack with the length of each silence, and texts you through Twilio when a main account goes quiet.

  • A broken feed is caught in a day instead of at month end
  • Every connected account carries a last download date you can see
  • Main accounts trigger a text the morning they go quiet

Built for bookkeepers · small business owners · family offices · accountants

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens app.quicken.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

    • Read the date each account last downloaded transactions and its current balance
    • Mark any account with no new transactions for longer than your tolerance, and note any connection error shown

    • Post the stalled accounts with the institution, the last download date, and days since
    • Put the longest silence first so the oldest break gets fixed first
    • Say plainly when every connection is current so a quiet morning still gets a green line

  4. 3
Twilio - text you when a main account goes quiet

    • Leave the text queued for you to release. WebRun never messages your bank or a third party

Done when A text is waiting whenever a main account stops feeding in.

Questions, answered

Will it reconnect an account or enter my bank login?

No. WebRun only reads the connection status and the last download date in Quicken. Re-authorising a bank feed is left entirely to you, and no banking credentials are ever typed.

Does it move money or change any transaction?

No. This run is read only inside Quicken. It records what arrived and what did not, then reports it. Categorising, editing, and reconciling stay your work.

What counts as stalled?

Any account with no new downloaded transactions for longer than the number of days you set. Accounts that genuinely have no activity, like a dormant savings account, can be given a longer tolerance.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
