EFI Automatic Quality Hold Alerts
Every hour during production, WebRun opens EFI, checks for any job or lot placed on quality hold since the last check, logs the hold reason to a Google Sheet for your QC record, and posts a Slack alert naming the job so shipping doesn't release it by mistake.
How do I make sure shipping never releases a job that's on quality hold?
WebRun checks EFI every hour for any job or lot newly placed on quality hold. It logs the hold reason to a Google Sheet for your QC record and posts a Slack alert naming the job and lot so shipping doesn't release it by mistake, catching a hold within the hour it's placed instead of at the dock.
- A new quality hold reaches the team within the hour it's placed
- Shipping gets a clear alert before a held lot can go out the door
- Every hold is logged with its reason for your QC record
Built for corrugated box converters · folding carton plants · packaging QC managers · shipping and warehouse teams

Questions, answered
Can it release or clear a hold automatically?
No. WebRun only detects and alerts on a new hold. Clearing a hold always requires a person to review it and update the status in EFI directly.
How fast does the alert reach the team?
Within the hour a hold is placed, since WebRun checks EFI on an hourly cycle. You can set it to check more often if your shipping window is tight.
Does it contact the customer about the hold?
No. The alert is entirely internal, reaching QC, production, and shipping through Slack and your log. It never emails or messages a customer about a hold.
