In short

How do I automatically track unreviewed oncology lab results in NextGen?

WebRun scans your NextGen lab results inbox every morning, identifies unreviewed and abnormal oncology results, and posts a severity-ranked worklist to your clinical Slack channel. Critical values appear at the top so providers can act before morning rounds begin, and no result with a concerning value sits unseen.

  • No critical or abnormal oncology lab result goes unreviewed
  • Providers start each morning with a severity-ranked lab action list
  • Results already reviewed are excluded automatically each run

Questions, answered

Will it contact patients about abnormal results?

No. Patient notification of lab results involves PHI and clinical judgment. WebRun surfaces results for the provider to review, and any patient communication is handled by the clinical team directly.

How does it define an abnormal result?

It reads the flag set by the lab or your NextGen configuration. Any result returned as Abnormal, Critical, or Panic is automatically moved to the top of the worklist for immediate provider attention.

What if a result has already been reviewed?

It reads the current review status in NextGen each morning, so results already acknowledged by a provider are excluded and only genuinely unreviewed results appear on the worklist.
