Questions, answered
Does it include patient names in the Slack post?
By default the digest uses chair numbers and appointment times without full patient names, protecting PHI in the shared channel. You can configure it to use initials or MRN only.
What if an appointment is added or changed after the digest runs?
The digest reflects the schedule as it stands at the time it runs each evening. For late-breaking changes, your scheduling staff should flag the update manually in the channel.
Can it flag appointments where drug preparation needs to happen overnight?
Yes. Any regimen that your NextGen setup marks as requiring advance pharmacy preparation is highlighted in the digest so the pharmacy team can prepare those doses on time.
