Keep staffing in line with patient census
Every night, WebRun opens ShiftWizard, compares scheduled nurse-to-patient staffing against each unit's census-based target for the next shift, logs the variance by unit to Google Sheets, and drafts a summary email through Gmail for the director of nursing to review before the next shift begins.

How do I track staffing versus patient census automatically?
Every night, WebRun opens ShiftWizard, compares scheduled nurse staffing against each unit's census-based target for the next shift, and calculates the variance. It logs the results by unit to Google Sheets and drafts a summary email for the director of nursing to review, so understaffed units surface before the next shift starts, not partway through it.
- Understaffed units surface before the shift starts, not partway through it
- A running Google Sheet history shows variance patterns across shifts and days
- Leadership gets a drafted summary ready to send, not a raw data dump
Built for directors of nursing · house supervisors · nurse staffing offices · hospital operations leaders

Questions, answered
Does it move nurses between units to fix the variance?
No. WebRun only reports the gap between scheduled staffing and the census target. Reassigning staff or calling in help is always a decision made by the house supervisor or nurse manager.
Will the summary email send itself?
No. The email is drafted in Gmail and left for the director of nursing to review and send. WebRun never emails leadership without that approval.
How is the census target set?
It comes from whatever census-based staffing matrix or ratio your facility already uses in ShiftWizard. WebRun reads that target, it does not set or override it.
