Automated ShiftWizard Overtime Threshold Alerts

Every night, WebRun opens ShiftWizard, totals each nurse's scheduled and worked hours for the pay period, flags anyone within a set number of hours of the overtime threshold, logs a running tracker to Google Sheets, and posts the nurse manager a Slack alert listing who is at risk before the next schedule gets approved.

In short

How do I flag nurses approaching overtime before it hits payroll?

Every night, WebRun opens ShiftWizard, totals each nurse's scheduled and worked hours for the pay period, and flags anyone within a set threshold of overtime, counting both hours already worked and shifts still to come. It logs a running tracker to Google Sheets and posts the nurse manager a ranked Slack alert before more hours get approved.

  • Overtime risk is flagged the night before it happens, not after the paycheck
  • Managers see a ranked list instead of auditing timesheets by hand
  • A running Google Sheet tracker builds a pay-period history automatically

Built for nurse managers · hospital payroll teams · staffing office coordinators · unit directors

Questions, answered

Does it change the schedule or block anyone from being assigned?

No. WebRun only reads hours and reports risk. Every scheduling decision, including whether to approve overtime, stays with the nurse manager.

What counts as the overtime threshold?

It is whatever your facility sets, typically 40 hours a week or a set number of hours before the pay period closes. WebRun flags anyone within a configurable buffer of that number.

Does it account for shifts already scheduled but not yet worked?

Yes. It totals both worked and scheduled hours for the pay period, so a nurse with enough upcoming shifts to cross the threshold is flagged before those shifts happen, not after.

Put this on autopilot.
