Automated MetaMask Low Gas Balance Alerts

Every hour, WebRun opens your MetaMask portfolio, reads the native balance on each watched address and network, compares it with the floor you set, alerts Slack the moment one drops below, and keeps a Trello card open until the wallet is topped up. WebRun only reads balances and never moves funds.

In short

How do I get alerted when my wallet runs low on gas?

WebRun checks your MetaMask portfolio every hour, reading the native balance on each watched address and network against the floor you set. It alerts Slack the moment one drops below and keeps a Trello top-up card open until it recovers, so scheduled transactions never start failing. It only reads balances.

  • A warning arrives while there is still time to top up
  • Balances are checked per network, not just per wallet
  • WebRun reads only and never moves a single token

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens portfolio.metamask.io in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
MetaMask - read balances per network
    metamask.io
WebRun in MetaMask: read balances per network
WebRun opens MetaMask to read balances per network.
    • Open the MetaMask portfolio view and read the native balance on each address you watch
    • Do the same per network, since a wallet can be funded on one chain and empty on another
    • Compare each balance with the floor you set for that address and network
    • Work out the burn since the last few runs so a fast drain is visible as well as a low number

Done when Every watched address and network has a current balance measured against its floor.

  3. 2
Slack - alert when a wallet drops below the floor
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: alert when a wallet drops below the floor
WebRun opens Slack to alert when a wallet drops below the floor.
    • Post an alert only when a balance is under its floor or heading there within the next few hours
    • Name the address label, the network, the current balance, and the floor it crossed
    • Stay silent while every wallet is above its floor, so the alert keeps its weight

Done when Any wallet under its floor has an alert in Slack naming the address and network.

  4. 3
    Trello - keep a top-up card open
    trello.com
WebRun in Trello: keep a top-up card open
WebRun opens Trello to keep a top-up card open.
    • Open a top-up card the first time a wallet crosses its floor, with the address label, network, and shortfall
    • Update the card each hour with the current balance rather than creating duplicates
    • Close the card once the balance is back above the floor. WebRun never sends or swaps funds to fix it

Done when Each wallet under its floor has one open card that closes when the balance recovers.

Questions, answered

Will it move or spend any funds?

No. WebRun only reads balances and reports them. It never sends, swaps, bridges, or approves a transaction, so every top-up is made by a person from their own wallet.

Does it need my seed phrase or private key?

No. It reads the portfolio view for the addresses you tell it to watch. Recovery phrases and private keys are never requested, entered, or stored by this workflow.

How often will it alert me?

Once per wallet per crossing. It checks hourly but keeps one open Trello card and does not repeat the same Slack alert until the balance recovers and drops again.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
