Automated Courier Handoff Reminders
Every hour, WebRun opens adherent360, finds bedside and kiosk deliveries with a scheduled courier handoff coming up in the next window, holds the pickup time on your shared dispatch calendar, and texts the assigned courier a reminder through Twilio ahead of time so no scheduled handoff gets missed.
How do I make sure a scheduled bedside courier handoff never gets missed?
WebRun checks adherent360 every hour for bedside and kiosk deliveries with a courier handoff coming up, holds the pickup time on your shared Google Calendar, and texts the assigned courier a reminder through Twilio ahead of the scheduled time, so a busy dispatch day never costs you a missed or late bedside handoff.
- Couriers get a reminder ahead of every scheduled pickup, not after they are late
- Unassigned handoffs stand out on the calendar before they become a missed pickup
- Dispatch gets an hourly check instead of relying on someone remembering the schedule

Questions, answered
What happens if a handoff has no courier assigned yet?
It still gets a calendar hold, marked in a different color so dispatch can see it needs an assignment. No reminder text goes out until a courier is assigned.
How far ahead does the courier get reminded?
Far enough ahead of the scheduled pickup time to still make it, and it checks hourly so a handoff added late in the day still gets caught.
Does it text the patient about the pickup time?
No. Reminders go to the courier only. The patient or unit staff are not texted by this workflow.
