Automated Intermodal Customer Onboarding Kickoff

Every morning, WebRun checks Rail Command for customer accounts created in the last 24 hours, drafts a welcome email in Gmail, prepares a DocuSign envelope with the rate agreement template, and creates a Google Calendar kickoff call invitation, all left for your team to review and send.

In short

How do I automatically kick off the onboarding process for a new intermodal customer?

WebRun checks Rail Command every morning for new intermodal customer accounts, then prepares a complete onboarding draft package: a Gmail welcome email, a DocuSign rate agreement envelope, and a Google Calendar kickoff call invitation. Every item is left for your account manager to review before anything reaches the customer.

  • Every new customer account triggers a complete onboarding package the same morning
  • No welcome email or agreement goes out without the account manager's approval
  • Onboarding steps are never missed because a coordinator was too busy to start them

Questions, answered

Will it send the welcome email and DocuSign request to the new customer automatically?

No. The welcome email is saved as a Gmail draft, the DocuSign envelope is saved as a draft, and the calendar invite is saved for review. Nothing reaches the customer until your account manager approves and sends each item.

What rate agreement template does it use in DocuSign?

It uses the standard intermodal rate agreement template you have set up in DocuSign. If you have multiple templates for different customer types, you can configure the workflow to select the right one based on the account details in Rail Command.

What happens if a new account is missing contact information?

If the customer email field is blank in Rail Command, WebRun skips the draft and flags the account in a Slack message so your team can complete the record before the next run.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
