Automated IBKR Margin Cushion Alerts

Every morning before the open, WebRun signs in to Interactive Brokers, reads the account balances, maintenance margin, excess liquidity and buying power, posts the figures with the overnight change to your private Slack channel, and texts you through Twilio only when the cushion falls below the threshold you set.

In short

How do I get alerted when my brokerage margin cushion gets low?

WebRun reads your Interactive Brokers account every morning before the open. It captures net liquidation value, maintenance margin, excess liquidity and available funds, posts them to Slack with the overnight change, and texts you through Twilio only when the cushion falls under the threshold you set.

  • The margin picture is in Slack before the open every day
  • A text arrives only when the cushion crosses your threshold
  • The overnight change is visible without opening the platform

Questions, answered

Can it place, close, or amend trades?

No. WebRun is read-only in Interactive Brokers. It opens the balances view, copies the figures, and reports them. It never submits an order, never closes a position, and never moves cash.

Is this investment advice?

No. WebRun reports your own account figures against a threshold you chose and offers no opinion on what to buy, sell, or hold. Every decision stays with you or your licensed advisor.

Who gets the text message?

Only the number you register, and only when excess liquidity drops below your threshold. On a normal day no text is sent, so an SMS from this run always means something changed.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
