Automated Ghost Kitchen Staff Shift Coverage Alerts

Every morning, WebRun opens Google Calendar to review today's shift roster, pulls peak order-volume hours from Otter for each virtual brand, and sends your operations manager a Telegram alert listing any time slot where staffing looks thin relative to expected order volume.

In short

How do I get automatic alerts for understaffed kitchen shifts in my ghost kitchen?

Every morning at 7 AM, WebRun reads today's kitchen shift schedule in Google Calendar and compares confirmed staff against the peak order-volume windows from Otter. If any time slot is understaffed for the expected order load, your operations manager gets a Telegram alert with the exact gap before service starts.

  • Understaffed shifts are flagged at 7 AM - before service, not during the rush
  • Managers get a precise gap report with expected order volume and current staff count
  • No automated messages are sent to staff - scheduling stays under human control

Built for ghost kitchen operators · kitchen managers · multi-brand cloud kitchen ops teams

Questions, answered

How does it know what staffing level is enough for a given time slot?

You set the minimum staff-per-order-volume ratio at configuration. For example, one prep cook per 20 expected orders per hour. WebRun applies that rule to each slot.

Does it contact staff to fill the gap?

No. WebRun alerts the operations manager, who then contacts staff directly. Messaging employees about schedule changes is always a human decision.

What if a staff member calls in sick after the morning check?

You can trigger a manual re-run of the workflow at any time. WebRun will re-read the current Calendar state and send a fresh alert if a new gap has opened up.
