Automated Informed Consent Tracking

Every morning, WebRun opens Progeny Clinical, lists test orders scheduled to be sent to the lab within 3 days, checks each patient's informed consent envelope status in DocuSign, and posts a Slack alert for any order where consent is missing, unsigned, or about to expire, so staff can close the gap before the sample ships.

In short

How do I make sure informed consent is always on file before a genetic test ships to the lab?

WebRun checks Progeny Clinical every morning for test orders shipping within 3 days, confirms each patient's informed consent status in DocuSign, and posts a Slack alert for any order with consent missing, unsigned, or expiring. Nothing is sent to a patient automatically. Staff see the gap before the sample ships instead of after the lab rejects it.

  • No sample ships to the lab with missing or expired consent
  • Staff see consent gaps 3 days before the ship date, not after
  • Orders with valid current consent never clutter the alert

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens app.progenygenetics.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

Done when Staff have today's consent gap alert in Slack, ranked by how soon the order ships.

Questions, answered

Will it send a new consent form to the patient automatically?

No. WebRun only checks status and alerts your team. Staff decide whether to send a new DocuSign envelope or call the patient in for a fresh signature.

How does it know a consent has expired?

It checks each signed envelope's date in DocuSign against your clinic's validity window, so only consents that are genuinely past that window get flagged.

What if consent is already on file and current?

It confirms the live envelope status in DocuSign each morning, so any order with valid, current consent is left off the alert entirely.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
