Automated Flock Unanswered Mention Alerts
Every hour during working hours, WebRun opens Flock, scans your watched channels for direct mentions and urgent keywords that have gone past your reply window with no answer, drafts an SMS escalation to the on-call owner in Twilio, and posts the alert to Telegram.
How do I make sure an urgent chat message never gets missed?
WebRun scans your watched Flock channels every hour for team mentions and urgent keywords that have passed your reply window without an answer. It posts the unanswered list to Telegram with the channel, sender, and waiting time, and drafts an SMS escalation to the on-call owner in Twilio for you to release.
- An ignored urgent message surfaces within the hour
- Escalations reach the on-call owner instead of scrolling away
- No SMS goes out until a human releases it
Built for operations teams · support teams · on-call engineers · distributed teams

1
Flock - scan for unanswered mentions
WebRun opens Flock to scan for unanswered mentions. - Sign into Flock and open each channel on your watch list
- Find messages containing a team mention or one of your urgent keywords since the previous run
- Check whether anyone replied in the thread or in the channel afterwards
- Capture the channel, the sender, the message opening line, and how long it has waited for anything still unanswered past your reply window
Done when Every unanswered mention or urgent message past the reply window is listed with its channel and waiting time.

2
Twilio - draft the on-call escalation
WebRun opens Twilio to draft the on-call escalation. - Open Twilio and prepare an SMS to the on-call owner for the channel when a message passes your escalation threshold
- Include the channel, the sender, the waiting time, and the first line of the message
- Leave the message queued as a draft for approval. WebRun never sends it on its own
- Skip anything already escalated so the same message is not raised twice
Done when An approval-pending SMS is queued for each escalation, with no repeats and nothing sent.
-
3
Telegram - post the alert
WebRun opens Telegram to post the alert. - Post the alert to your operations channel
- List each unanswered message with its channel, sender, and waiting time, oldest first
- Mark which ones crossed the escalation threshold and have an SMS draft waiting
- Stay quiet when nothing is outstanding rather than posting an empty update every hour
Done when The operations channel has the current unanswered list, or nothing was posted because the list was empty.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it reply in Flock on my behalf?
No. WebRun only reads the watched channels and reports what has gone unanswered. It never posts a message in Flock, never reacts, and never deletes anything. The reply is always written by a person.
Will it text the on-call owner automatically?
No. Every escalation SMS is queued in Twilio as an approval-pending draft. You release it. A duplicate check also stops the same message being escalated twice.
Which channels and words does it watch?
Only the channels you put on the watch list, and only the mentions and urgent keywords you define, such as outage, blocked, or urgent. Private conversations outside that list are never read.
