Automated Flickr Upload Organization

Every night, WebRun opens Flickr, goes through the photos uploaded that day, spots the ones with no title, no tags, or no album, works out a suggested title, tag set, and album for each from the photo and its neighbours, posts the suggestions to Microsoft Teams, and drafts you a Gmail summary of what needs applying.

In short

How do I keep new photo uploads titled, tagged, and in albums?

WebRun opens Flickr every night, finds the day's uploads with no title, no tags, or no album, and works out a suggested title, tag set, and album for each from its capture date and the photos around it. It posts the list to Microsoft Teams and drafts you a Gmail summary of what needs applying.

  • The archive stays searchable instead of becoming a pile
  • Every new upload is checked the night it lands
  • Titles and tags arrive suggested, so filing is a review not a chore

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens www.flickr.com/signin in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Flickr - find untitled and unfiled uploads
    flickr.com
WebRun in Flickr: find untitled and unfiled uploads
WebRun opens Flickr to find untitled and unfiled uploads.
    • Open Flickr and list the photos uploaded since the last run
    • Flag each one missing a title, missing tags, or not in any album
    • Read the capture date, any existing tags, and the neighbouring photos in the stream for context
    • Note the privacy setting on each so nothing private is treated as public

Done when Every new upload is checked for a title, tags, album, and privacy setting.

  3. 2
Microsoft Teams - post the suggested titles and tags
    microsoft.com
WebRun in Microsoft Teams: post the suggested titles and tags
WebRun opens Microsoft Teams to post the suggested titles and tags.
    • Post the night's list to your own channel, one row per photo needing work
    • Suggest a title, a tag set, and the album it most likely belongs in
    • Base suggestions on the capture date, existing tags, and the photos around it
    • Leave applying the changes to you. WebRun edits nothing on Flickr

Done when Every unfiled upload has a suggested title, tag set, and album waiting in Teams.

  4. 3
Gmail - draft the night's summary
    gmail.com
WebRun in Gmail: draft the night's summary
WebRun opens Gmail to draft the night's summary.
    • Draft an email to yourself summarising how many uploads need a title, tags, or an album
    • List the photos with the most missing, so the worst are handled first
    • Leave the draft unsent unless you have asked for it to go to your own address
    • Never email a photo or a link to anyone else

Done when A summary of tonight's organizing work is waiting in Gmail.

Questions, answered

Will it edit my photos or change privacy?

No. WebRun reads your stream and suggests titles, tags, and albums. It renames nothing, tags nothing, moves nothing into an album, and never changes a privacy setting. You apply the changes yourself.

Does it post publicly?

No. Suggestions go to your own Microsoft Teams channel and a Gmail draft addressed to you. Nothing is posted to Flickr, shared to a group, or made public.

Where do the suggestions come from?

From the photo itself and its context: the capture date, any tags already on it, and the neighbouring photos in your stream, so a shoot uploaded together gets a consistent title and album.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
