Does it export private keys or certificate files?
No. It records the inventory details only: common name, type, issue date, expiry date, and owner. No key material or certificate file is downloaded or stored.
Why keep a copy outside the portal?
So a compliance question can be answered without a portal login. The dated Google Drive files also show what the inventory looked like at any past week, which a live portal view cannot.
