Automated dYdX Position Risk Alerts
Every hour, WebRun opens dYdX, reads every open perpetual position along with its current funding rate, margin, and liquidation price, logs each one to a Google Sheet, and writes a Notion note flagging any position whose current price sits within your set buffer of its liquidation price.
How do I track liquidation risk on my open dYdX positions?
WebRun reads every open dYdX perpetual position every hour, tracking funding rate, margin, and liquidation price, and logs it to a Google Sheet. It writes a Notion note flagging any position whose current price has moved within your set buffer of liquidation, so real risk surfaces early instead of being noticed only after a position is closed out.
- A position nearing liquidation is flagged with hours of buffer, not after the fact
- Every open position's risk data builds into a live, current Sheet
- Closed positions drop off automatically, keeping the risk log accurate

Questions, answered
Will WebRun close a position or add margin to prevent liquidation?
No. WebRun only reads your position data and reports on liquidation risk. It never places, closes, or modifies a position, and it never adds margin or moves funds on its own.
How is the liquidation buffer threshold set?
You choose the percentage buffer that should trigger a warning when you turn the template on, so the alert reflects however much room you personally want before liquidation risk.
Does the Sheet track closed positions too?
No. Once a position closes, its row is removed from the live risk log, since the sheet is meant to reflect current, open risk rather than historical trades.
