MeridianLink Automated Loan Approval Routing

When a loan application in MeridianLink reaches the approval stage, WebRun reads the loan type, amount, and risk tier to determine the correct approval officer, drafts a routing notification email in Gmail with full application details, and posts a pending-decision alert to the lending team Slack channel so nothing waits in a queue unnoticed.

In short

How can a credit union automatically route loan approval decisions to the right officer?

When a MeridianLink loan application reaches the approval stage, WebRun reads the loan type, amount, and risk tier to identify the correct officer, drafts a routing notification email in Gmail for the lending manager to review and send, and immediately posts a pending-decision Slack alert mentioning the assigned officer. No approval decision is made by the automation.

  • Approval-stage applications reach the right officer within minutes, not hours
  • No application sits in a queue unnoticed because of a routing oversight
  • The lending manager reviews the routing draft before the officer is formally notified

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will it approve or decline the loan application automatically?

No. WebRun only routes the notification to the correct officer. Every approval or decline decision is made by a qualified lending officer after reviewing the full application in MeridianLink.

How does it know which officer to route to?

You configure routing rules based on loan type and amount threshold. WebRun reads the application details from MeridianLink and matches them to your rules to identify the right officer each time.

What if the assigned officer is on leave?

You can set a backup officer in the routing configuration. If the primary officer is marked as out of office, WebRun routes the notification to the backup instead of letting the application sit unactioned.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
