Automated ConvertKit Unconfirmed Subscriber Alerts

Every Monday, WebRun opens ConvertKit, finds subscribers who signed up more than three days ago but still haven't confirmed double opt-in, logs each one to Airtable, and sends an internal reminder email via Gmail to the creator so they can decide whether to re-send the confirmation.

In short

How do I find ConvertKit subscribers who never confirmed their opt-in?

WebRun checks ConvertKit every Monday for subscribers who signed up more than three days ago but still haven't confirmed double opt-in, logs each one to Airtable, and emails an internal reminder to the creator, so pending confirmations get a decision instead of sitting unconfirmed indefinitely.

  • Unconfirmed signups get a weekly review instead of being forgotten
  • Every pending subscriber is logged with how long they've waited
  • List hygiene improves without manually scrolling ConvertKit

Good to know

Questions, answered

Does it resend the confirmation email to subscribers?

No. WebRun only flags who's still unconfirmed. Resending a confirmation email is a decision the creator makes in ConvertKit.

Who receives the Gmail reminder?

The creator or team running the ConvertKit account, not the unconfirmed subscribers themselves.

What happens if someone confirms after being flagged?

The next Monday run reads ConvertKit's live status again, so anyone who confirmed in the meantime drops off the list.
