Automated Constant Contact List Health

Every Monday, WebRun opens Constant Contact, reads bounce, unsubscribe, and complaint rates for last week's sends, writes them into an Airtable list-health table, and books a clean-up block in Google Calendar whenever a rate crosses the limit you set.

In short

How do I monitor bounce and unsubscribe rates on my email list?

WebRun opens Constant Contact every Monday and reads bounce, unsubscribe, and complaint rates for last week's campaigns. It logs each send in an Airtable list-health table with rolling averages per list, and books a clean-up block in Google Calendar whenever a rate crosses the limit you set.

  • Deliverability problems surface after one bad send, not after a blocklisting
  • Every campaign leaves a row in a trackable list-health history
  • Clean-up work gets booked rather than postponed

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens login.constantcontact.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1

    • Open Constant Contact and go to the reporting view for last week's sends
    • Capture sends, deliveries, bounces, unsubscribes, and spam complaints for each campaign
    • Split bounces into hard and soft so a bad address is not confused with a full mailbox
    • Note which list each campaign went to and its size at the time of sending

Done when Every send from last week has its delivery, bounce, unsubscribe, and complaint figures.

  3. 2
Airtable - log the list-health trend

    • Open the list-health base in Airtable
    • Add one row per campaign with delivery rate, hard bounce rate, unsubscribe rate, and complaint rate
    • Update the rolling averages per list so a single bad send does not read as a trend

Done when Every campaign has a row and each list has an updated rolling average.

  4. 3
Google Calendar - book clean-up time when rates climb
    calendar.google.com
WebRun in Google Calendar: book clean-up time when rates climb
WebRun opens Google Calendar to book clean-up time when rates climb.
    • Open your marketing calendar in Google Calendar
    • Add a list clean-up block this week for any list that crossed a limit, naming the list in the title
    • Put the offending rate and the campaign in the event description so the context travels with the block
    • Never delete a contact, unsubscribe anyone, or send a campaign. Those stay human actions

Done when Clean-up time is booked for every list that crossed a limit.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will it send campaigns or delete contacts?

No. WebRun reads reporting and writes to Airtable and your calendar. It never sends or schedules a campaign, never deletes a contact, and never unsubscribes anyone, so your lists and your sending stay entirely under your control.

What rate should worry me?

You set the limits, and the defaults follow common email practice: hard bounces and spam complaints matter most because mailbox providers watch both. Unsubscribes are logged too, since a rising rate usually signals a content or frequency problem.

Why book calendar time instead of just alerting?

Because list clean-up gets postponed when it is only a notification. A booked block with the list name and the offending rate in the description turns the alert into work that actually happens that week.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
