Keep your anticoagulation patients on schedule with a daily follow-up queue
Every morning, WebRun opens athenahealth and scans the anticoagulation patient panel for those with overdue INR checks, out-of-range results, or missed follow-up appointments. It logs the clinical queue in Google Sheets and posts a prioritized alert to the cardiology Slack channel so your team can reach out and adjust therapy before a patient is at risk.

How do I automate anticoagulation patient follow-up tracking in athenahealth?
Every morning, WebRun opens athenahealth and reviews the anticoagulation patient panel for those with overdue INR checks or out-of-therapeutic-range results with no follow-up order. It logs an urgency-sorted queue in Google Sheets and posts a prioritized summary to the cardiology team in Slack, with all PHI staying inside athenahealth.
- Out-of-range anticoagulation patients are flagged before the care team's first patient of the day
- Overdue INR checks surface daily instead of only at periodic registry reviews
- PHI remains inside athenahealth throughout the workflow

Questions, answered
Will it contact patients about out-of-range INR results?
No. WebRun builds an internal clinical queue for your care team to action. All patient communication about results or dose adjustments is handled by your clinicians after reviewing the queue, in line with your anticoagulation management protocol.
Which anticoagulants does it cover?
The queue flags any patient in the athenahealth registry whose monitoring lab is overdue or out of range, regardless of the anticoagulant. This includes warfarin patients requiring INR monitoring and DOAC patients on any lab-monitored protocol you track.
Does it send PHI to Google Sheets or Slack?
No. Sheets rows contain clinical timing fields such as days overdue, result range status, and provider, without patient-identifying details. Slack receives only counts and a link to the queue. PHI stays within athenahealth.
