In short

How do I back up my Bluesky posts to my own storage?

Every night WebRun opens Bluesky, reads the posts, replies, and reposts you published that day, and saves the text and images into a dated folder in Google Drive. It logs each run on a Trello card, so you keep your own copy of everything you post.

  • Every post is saved the night it goes out, text and images together
  • Old posts can be reused or restored without depending on the platform
  • Failed saves are flagged on a card instead of vanishing silently

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens bsky.app in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Bluesky - read the day's posts
    bsky.app
WebRun in Bluesky: read the day's posts
WebRun opens Bluesky to read the day's posts.
    • Open Bluesky and go to your own profile
    • Read every post, reply, and repost published since the last run, with its timestamp and permalink
    • Capture the attached images and the current profile bio, name, and avatar

Done when Every post you published today is captured with its text, media, and link.

  3. 2
Google Drive - save the dated archive
    drive.google.com
WebRun in Google Drive: save the dated archive
WebRun opens Google Drive to save the dated archive.
    • Create tonight's dated folder inside your Bluesky archive folder
    • Save one text file with every post, reply, and repost plus its timestamp and permalink
    • Save the images alongside it and keep a running index file so the whole archive stays searchable

Done when Tonight's folder holds the day's posts, images, and an updated index.

  4. 3
Trello - log the archive run
    trello.com
WebRun in Trello: log the archive run
WebRun opens Trello to log the archive run.
    • Update the archive card with tonight's date, post count, and image count
    • Flag anything that failed to save so a gap in the archive is visible, not silent
    • Never delete an earlier folder. Each night adds, it does not overwrite

Done when The Trello card records tonight's run and any gaps.

Questions, answered

Does it post or delete anything on Bluesky?

No. WebRun only reads your own profile. It never posts, replies, reposts, likes, follows, or deletes, and it never touches anyone else's account.

Will it overwrite last night's archive?

No. Each run creates its own dated folder and adds to the index. Earlier folders are never overwritten or deleted, so the archive only grows.

What if a post fails to save?

The gap is written onto the Trello card with the post's permalink, so a missing item is visible the next morning rather than quietly lost.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
