Automated Boarding Incident Alerts

Every few minutes, WebRun checks the incident log in Google Sheets for new entries. When a new incident is found, it posts an alert to the manager Slack channel and sends a Telegram notification with the pet name, incident type, severity, and the time it was logged so the manager is notified immediately.

In short

How do I get instant alerts when a boarding incident is logged?

Every 5 minutes, WebRun checks the boarding incident log in Google Sheets for new entries. When a new incident appears, it posts an immediate alert to the manager Slack channel and sends a Telegram notification with the pet name, incident type, severity, and time so managers are notified within minutes of any incident being logged.

  • Managers are notified within 5 minutes of any new incident log entry
  • High-severity incidents are flagged for immediate visibility
  • No incident sits unread in a spreadsheet until the next manual check

Questions, answered

Does it contact pet owners about incidents automatically?

No. WebRun only sends internal alerts to the manager via Slack and Telegram. Communicating with the pet owner is a decision for your team and is not handled by this workflow.

How quickly does the manager get notified after an incident is logged?

WebRun checks the Google Sheets incident log every 5 minutes, so the manager typically receives a Slack and Telegram alert within 5 minutes of a staff member logging a new entry.

What if a row is edited or corrected after it is logged?

WebRun alerts on new rows only. If an existing row is edited, it will not trigger a second alert. Staff should add a new corrected row if an update needs to re-notify the manager.
