How to Automate CCC ONE

Collision shops automate CCC ONE through UpdatePlus status texts and surveys, Repair Workflow's cycle-time reports and Estimating IQ, which pre-populates estimate lines from damage photos. At cccone.com, the AI agent WebRun drafts follow-ups on supplements left unanswered for two business days and builds a morning receivables worklist by carrier.

A CCC ONE workfile follows each car from estimate to invoice

CCC ONE is the collision repair platform from CCC Intelligent Solutions, whose network connects more than 35,000 businesses: insurers, repairers, automakers and parts suppliers. In a body shop the center of it is the workfile, which holds one car's estimate, its damage photos, every supplement, the parts orders and finally the invoice.

A single repair can run for weeks, and the workfile is where each change lands: the bracket found at teardown, the calibration the car now needs, the part that arrived wrong. Scan tools on CCC's diagnostics network, Autel among them since July 2026, send their scan reports straight into the workfile.

The estimator, the production manager and the billing clerk all work from that workfile in the CCC ONE desktop program, each on their own part of the repair.

A supplement waits on the adjuster while the car sits torn down

Teardown finds a cracked headlamp bracket and a bent radiator support, and a supplement goes to the insurer. Until the adjuster answers, the car sits in the bay with its bumper off, and every day it waits is another day on the customer's rental. The estimator has four more supplements on other cars waiting the same way.

The customer calls to ask where the car is. A request for an estimate arrives through the shop's website form after hours, as an email somebody retypes into CCC ONE in the morning. Ahead of the production meeting, the production manager wants to know which cars have gone past the shop's cycle-time target.

Insurer payments arrive on each carrier's schedule. The billing clerk works out which carrier owes what, and for how long, by holding CCC ONE's open invoices against QuickBooks one at a time.

Supplements chased after two business days Each supplement still waiting on the carrier gets a follow-up to the adjuster in Gmail drafts, and the full chase list goes to Slack for the estimators.
Estimate requests that open a workfile A website form request becomes an estimate record in CCC ONE and a row in the intake sheet, and the on-duty estimator gets a tag in Slack.
An AR worklist by carrier Every morning, open carrier invoices from CCC ONE confirmed against QuickBooks and sorted by carrier and age, with any mismatch flagged for billing.

UpdatePlus texts the customer and Estimating IQ drafts lines from photos

CCC UpdatePlus confirms appointments and reminds customers of them, sends text or email status messages as the repair moves along, and once the car is delivered sends a one-question survey followed by a fuller one to measure satisfaction. Shops can share the reviews on Carwise.com.

Estimating IQ's Mobile Jumpstart reads damage photos taken at the car and pre-populates estimate lines, recommending whether to repair, replace or remove and install each part, and more than 6,500 repair facilities now use CCC's AI estimating. Repair Cost Predictor turns a customer's own photos into a predicted cost range in seconds. Repair Workflow, inside CCC ONE, tracks production and produces cycle-time and KPI reports.

The adjuster's answer to a supplement comes from the insurer's side, and until it arrives the estimator is the one asking for it. Repair Workflow's cycle-time report waits for a manager to open it. An unpaid carrier invoice lives in two systems, CCC ONE and QuickBooks, and matching them is billing's job.

Supplements two business days old get a follow-up to the adjuster

Each supplement still waiting after two business days has a short email to its adjuster in Gmail drafts, with the RO number, the amount and a polite request for a status, and the estimator sends the ones worth sending. The team's Slack channel carries the whole chase list: RO, carrier, adjuster, amount and days pending.

The website request that came in after hours is a CCC ONE estimate record by morning, holding the customer, the vehicle and the damage they described, with a row in the intake sheet, and the on-duty estimator gets a tag in the estimator channel with the preferred drop-off date.

At 7:00 the managers' Slack channel shows work in progress by stage, the rolling cycle-time average for cars closed in the past week and the cars over target, each set against the day before, and the same figures go into the cycle-time tracker.

Billing works from a worklist grouped by carrier, oldest and largest balances first, with anything past 30, 60 or 90 days marked, built from CCC ONE's open invoices with each balance confirmed in QuickBooks. A flag marks any invoice that QuickBooks shows as closed while CCC ONE still shows it open.

Workfiles saved in CCC ONE also open on the web at cccone.com

Those jobs need the RO number, the supplement amount, the adjuster's name and the carrier's balance, and the workfile holds them. WebRun is an AI agent that works a real Chrome browser, signed in as you. At cccone.com it reads the workfiles with a CCC ONE username and password, the same one that opens the desktop program.

The estimator sends each adjuster follow-up from Gmail. Inside CCC ONE, WebRun creates estimate records from website requests and leaves estimate lines, supplements and repair orders to the estimators. A fifth card writes a status text whenever a car changes stage and holds it in Slack for someone to approve; a shop on UpdatePlus, which already sends status messages, would leave it off.

Questions people ask

Can the supplement follow-up start sooner than two business days?

Yes. Two business days is the default, and the card takes whatever threshold the shop sets. Each draft names the RO number and the supplement amount and asks the adjuster for a status update.

What counts as over target in the cycle-time digest?

Any car still open past the target cycle time the shop gives the card. The digest counts those cars and sets the count, the work in progress and the rolling average against yesterday's figures.

What happens when CCC ONE and QuickBooks disagree on an invoice?

The worklist flags the invoice for billing to review, with the RO number and both balances, and neither record is changed.
