Automated Anaplan Variance Scorecard

Every Monday, WebRun opens your core Anaplan model, pulls actuals against plan for the latest period, calculates variance for each line item, exports the full report to Drive, and posts a Slack summary led by the biggest gaps.

In short

How do I get a weekly actual-vs-plan variance report from Anaplan?

WebRun pulls actual-vs-plan variance from your core Anaplan model every Monday, calculates the gap for each line item, exports the full report to Google Drive, and posts a Slack summary led by the items furthest from plan. It turns a model that lives in Anaplan into a weekly conversation your FP&A team actually has.

  • Variance gets reviewed weekly instead of only at month-end close
  • The biggest gaps from plan lead the summary automatically
  • A full report is archived to Drive for anyone who needs the detail

Questions, answered

Will it adjust the plan or the model based on variance?

No. WebRun only reports actual-vs-plan variance. Adjusting the model, the plan, or the forecast is left to your FP&A team.

How is variance calculated?

It reads the actual and plan values already in your Anaplan model and calculates the difference, so the numbers match what you'd see inside Anaplan itself.

What if a line item has no plan value yet?

A line item without a plan value is still listed with its actual, just without a variance calculation.
