Automated Practice Fusion Prior Authorization Tracking
Every morning, WebRun opens Practice Fusion, finds allergy prior authorizations that are pending, expiring within 30 days, or flagged as denied, logs each to an Airtable tracker with payer and status details, and posts a digest to Slack so staff can act before treatments are delayed.
How do I automatically track allergy prior authorization status and expirations?
WebRun opens Practice Fusion every morning and surfaces every allergy prior authorization that is pending, expiring within 30 days, or denied. Each auth is logged to Airtable and posted to Slack in urgency order, so staff resolve issues before a treatment is delayed by a lapsed or missing authorization.
- Expiring authorizations are caught weeks before they lapse, not after a claim denial
- Denied auths appear in Slack the same morning so staff can start an appeal immediately
- A running Airtable log gives management a full audit trail of every auth worked
Built for allergy and immunology clinics · prior auth coordinators · medical billing staff

Questions, answered
Will it submit prior authorization requests to payers automatically?
No. WebRun tracks and surfaces authorization statuses for staff review. Submission or resubmission of prior auth requests to payers must be done by a staff member, as these involve clinical documentation and payer portals.
How far in advance does it flag expiring authorizations?
By default, it flags any authorization expiring within 30 days and marks those within 7 days as urgent. You can adjust these windows when setting up the run.
Can it track biologic injection auths separately from allergy shot auths?
Yes. WebRun can be configured to apply a separate priority label to biologics such as dupilumab, since those auths often require different payer forms and longer lead times for renewal.
