Automated Airship Scheduled Send Review

Every morning, WebRun opens Airship, lists every message and push still scheduled to send today, checks the audience segment, send time, and links on each one, drafts a Gmail note about anything that looks wrong, and posts the day's queue to Slack.

In short

How do I review Airship messages before they send?

Every morning, WebRun opens Airship and reviews every message still queued to send that day, checking the audience segment, the send time, and the links in each one. It posts the queue to Slack and drafts a Gmail note about anything that looks wrong, so a bad send is caught before it reaches phones.

  • Wrong segments are caught while there is still time to pull a send
  • The whole team sees today's send queue before the first push goes out
  • Journey sends are reviewed alongside one-off campaigns

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens go.airship.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Airship - review today's scheduled sends
    airship.com
WebRun in Airship: review today's scheduled sends
WebRun opens Airship to review today's scheduled sends.
    • Open Airship and list every message scheduled to send in the next 24 hours
    • For each one, capture the send time, the channel, and the audience segment it targets
    • Read the message body and note any link that looks broken, placeholder, or untracked
    • Check journeys with a send due today so automated messages are covered too
    • Flag anything with an unusually large audience or an empty segment

Done when Every send queued for today is listed with its audience, time, and any flag.

  3. 2
Gmail - draft a note on anything risky
    gmail.com
WebRun in Gmail: draft a note on anything risky
WebRun opens Gmail to draft a note on anything risky.
    • Draft an email to the campaign owner for each send that raised a flag
    • Spell out what looks wrong: the segment, the link, or the timing
    • Leave every email in Drafts. WebRun never sends it and never pulls a send in Airship on its own

Done when A review email sits in Drafts for each flagged send, unsent.

  4. 3
Slack - post the day's send queue
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: post the day's send queue
WebRun opens Slack to post the day's send queue.
    • Post today's send queue to your lifecycle channel in send-time order
    • Show the audience and the estimated reach beside each message
    • Put flagged sends at the top so there is time to pull one

Done when The team has today's reviewed send queue in Slack.

Questions, answered

Can it stop or cancel a send by itself?

No. WebRun only reads the queue and reports. Pausing or pulling a message in Airship is a human decision, and the Gmail note it writes stays in Drafts until you send it.

What counts as a flag worth raising?

An empty or unexpectedly large audience segment, a placeholder or broken link in the body, and a send time outside your normal window. Each flag names the message it came from.

Does it cover journey messages too?

Yes. It checks journeys with a send due in the next 24 hours alongside one-off campaigns, so automated messages are reviewed on the same list.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
