In short

How do I automatically follow up with customers after a missed waste pickup?

WebRun checks Routeware every morning for stops marked missed the day before, drafts a polite apology and reschedule offer in Gmail for each affected customer, and posts the route supervisor a full Slack alert. Every missed-pickup customer gets a timely follow-up without the supervisor having to pull the report manually.

  • Every missed-pickup customer gets a same-morning follow-up draft
  • Route supervisors see the full missed-stop list in Slack before the day starts
  • No missed pickup goes unacknowledged or unscheduled for a make-good

Questions, answered

Will it email customers about missed pickups on its own?

No. WebRun drafts the apology and reschedule offer in Gmail but leaves it for your supervisor to review and send. No message goes to a customer without approval.

What counts as a missed pickup?

Any stop marked as missed, skipped, or not serviced in Routeware from the previous day is included. You can adjust the status filter to match your Routeware configuration.

What if the same customer was missed two days in a row?

Each run looks at the previous day's records, so repeat misses will appear again with their updated date. The supervisor can spot patterns from the Slack list.
