In short

How do I get instant alerts when a technician calls in absent at my tire shop?

Every few minutes during business hours, WebRun monitors your Google Calendar for new technician absence entries, checks Tire Guru's Bay Scheduler to identify every affected appointment, and posts a Slack alert to the manager listing which shifts and bays need coverage. Arranging cover remains a manual decision so staff receive a direct, personal request.

  • Managers learn about uncovered shifts within minutes, not at the start of the day
  • Every affected appointment is listed in the alert so nothing is overlooked
  • No staff are contacted automatically, keeping people management personal

Questions, answered

Does it contact the absent technician or other staff automatically?

No. WebRun posts the coverage alert to the manager Slack channel only. Contacting staff to arrange cover is a manual decision the manager makes.

What if the absence is entered the evening before the shift?

WebRun polls the calendar continuously during business hours, so it will catch the absence entry whenever it appears and alert the manager immediately.

Does it reschedule the affected appointments?

No. Rescheduling customers is handled manually by your team after the manager reviews the alert, ensuring the customer gets a personal call.
