Automated Telemetry Discontinuation Flags

Every morning, WebRun opens Norav Medical, checks each monitored patient's rhythm history and diagnosis in Epic against your discontinue-telemetry criteria, and posts the candidate list to the rounding team in Microsoft Teams so a physician can decide who comes off monitoring during rounds.

In short

How do I flag patients who may be ready to discontinue telemetry monitoring?

Every morning, WebRun checks each monitored patient in Norav Medical against your discontinue-telemetry criteria, reviewing their rhythm history and their diagnosis and orders in Epic. It posts the candidate list to the rounding team in Microsoft Teams, naming which criteria each patient met, and leaves the actual discontinuation order for the physician to enter, so no patient comes off monitoring without a clinical decision.

  • Physicians get a reviewed candidate list, not raw data to sift
  • Discontinuation criteria are checked consistently every morning
  • Every order change is still entered and approved by a physician

Questions, answered

Does it discontinue monitoring on its own?

No. It only flags candidates who meet your criteria and posts the list for the rounding team. A physician always makes the call and enters the order in Epic.

What criteria does it check?

Whatever discontinue-telemetry criteria your unit uses, such as days arrhythmia-free and diagnosis, checked against each patient's rhythm history and Epic chart.

What if a patient has an active order for continued monitoring?

It excludes any patient with an active order requiring continued telemetry, so only genuine candidates reach the list.

Put this on autopilot.
