Automated Taobao Supplier Price Tracking

Every morning, WebRun opens the Taobao listings you have saved or favourited for sourcing, reads the current price, stock status, and shipping cost on each one, writes a dated row per product into an Airtable price history, and pings Telegram when a price moves beyond your threshold or an item goes out of stock.

In short

How do I track price changes on the products I source?

WebRun tracks your Taobao sourcing list every morning. It reads the current price, variant, shipping cost, and stock status on each saved listing, writes a dated row into an Airtable price history, and pings Telegram whenever a price moves past your threshold or a product goes out of stock.

  • A supplier price rise shows up the morning it happens, not at reorder time
  • Airtable holds a dated cost history for every product you buy
  • Out of stock items are caught before a customer order depends on them

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens taobao.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

    • Flag listings that have been removed or where the seller has changed the variant you rely on

    • Calculate the change against the previous reading and write it into the change field
    • Mark products as unavailable rather than deleting the row, so the history stays intact

  4. 3
Telegram - ping you when something moves
    telegram.org

    • Stay quiet on days when nothing crossed the threshold

Done when You have been told about every meaningful price or stock move.

Questions, answered

Will it buy anything or place an order?

No. WebRun never adds to cart, checks out, pays, or messages a seller. It reads the listing pages on your sourcing list and records what it sees, so every purchase decision stays with you.

What counts as a move worth telling me about?

You set the threshold, for example any change above 5 percent or any item going out of stock. Smaller drifts are still logged in Airtable but never trigger a Telegram message.

What happens if a listing disappears?

The Airtable row is marked unavailable and kept, and the product appears in the Telegram note. Nothing is deleted, so you keep the full price history for a supplier who pulled a listing.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
