Automated talech Shift Coverage Alerts

Every morning, WebRun opens talech, reads the schedule for the next two days, identifies any shift that has no staff assigned or that falls below your minimum coverage level, and posts a Slack alert with the uncovered shift details so your manager can find coverage before the gap becomes a problem.

In short

How do I get automatic alerts for uncovered shifts in talech?

WebRun checks your talech schedule every morning, finds any shift for the next two days that has no staff assigned or falls below your minimum headcount, cross-checks manager availability in Google Calendar, and posts a prioritized coverage alert to Slack. Managers have time to find cover before the gap hits the floor.

  • Uncovered shifts are caught 24 to 48 hours ahead so cover can be arranged
  • All-covered confirmations mean managers never wonder if the check ran
  • Manager availability is cross-checked in Google Calendar before each alert

Questions, answered

Does it contact staff members to fill the shift?

No. WebRun posts the uncovered shift details to the manager Slack channel only. Contacting staff to arrange coverage is the manager's decision. Nothing is sent to employees automatically.

What counts as understaffed versus uncovered?

You configure a minimum headcount per shift role at setup. WebRun flags any shift where assigned staff falls below that minimum, whether it is zero or just one short.

What happens when all shifts are covered?

WebRun posts a brief all-covered confirmation to Slack so the manager knows the check ran. The absence of an alert always means the check did not run, not that everything is fine.
