In short

How do I automatically track unreviewed abnormal lab results in rheumatology?

WebRun scans the Elation lab inbox every morning for rheumatology patients with unreviewed abnormal results, ranks them by severity and days outstanding, and posts the worklist to Slack before morning huddle. Clinical teams clear their abnormal result queue faster, and no critical value sits unreviewed past the start of the day.

  • No abnormal lab result sits unreviewed past the start of the clinical day
  • The most critical results surface at the top of the worklist automatically
  • Provider review time is focused on the cases that matter most

Questions, answered

Will it notify the patient about their abnormal result automatically?

No. WebRun only posts an internal worklist for the clinical team. Any patient-facing communication about abnormal results must be reviewed and approved by a provider before it goes out, protecting patient safety and PHI.

How does it decide which results are most urgent?

It ranks by degree of abnormality relative to the reference range and by how many days the result has been waiting unreviewed, placing the most critical and most overdue results at the top of the worklist.

What if a provider already reviewed a result but did not mark it in Elation?

Results are pulled from the Elation lab inbox based on review status recorded in the system. If a review was completed but not documented, that result will appear on the list, prompting the team to confirm and update the record.
