What does WebRun do on every run?
The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.
-
WebRun signs in and gets to work
Opens
docs.google.com/spreadsheetsin a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys. -
1
Google Sheets - read the proposed price changes
WebRun opens Google Sheets to read the proposed price changes. - Open the Pricing Updates sheet and read all rows marked 'Ready to apply'
- For each row, capture the SKU, current price (from the sheet's 'Current' column), and proposed new price
- Flag any rows with missing SKUs or prices as 'Error - needs review'
Done when All 'Ready to apply' rows are read and validated.
-
2
Shopify - compare current prices and stage the updates
WebRun opens Shopify to compare current prices and stage the updates. - Open Shopify Admin > Products and look up each SKU
- Record the live price currently shown on the storefront
- Do not change any price yet - only read and compare
Done when Live Shopify prices are confirmed for every SKU in the update list.
-
3
Slack - present the diff for your approval before applying
WebRun opens Slack to present the diff for your approval before applying. - Post a price-change summary to #pricing: SKU, current live price, and proposed new price side by side
- Highlight any changes larger than 20% as high-impact
- Wait for your explicit approval before applying anything - include a clear 'Reply APPROVE to proceed' instruction
Done when You have received the full diff in Slack and the run is paused pending your approval.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it change prices in Shopify without my approval?
Never. The run always pauses after posting the diff and waits for your explicit go-ahead. No price is touched until you approve.
What if a SKU in the sheet doesn't exist in Shopify?
It flags that row as an error in the Slack diff and skips it, so the rest of the valid updates still go through cleanly.
Can I bulk-approve all changes at once?
Yes - reply 'APPROVE ALL' in the thread and WebRun will apply every change in the diff. Or you can approve specific SKUs to update them selectively.
Put this on autopilot.
