In short

How can I automatically flag low-stock SKUs and draft a reorder in Shopify?

Every morning WebRun opens Shopify, checks every SKU's current stock against your reorder threshold, logs flagged items in your Google Sheets reorder tracker, and posts a Slack alert with a draft purchase order ready for you to send - so you top up before selling out.

  • Stockouts caught before they cost you a sale
  • Draft purchase orders ready to send the same morning
  • Reorder sheet updated automatically every day

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens admin.shopify.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1

    • Skip SKUs where a draft purchase order was already created this week

    • Append a row for each low-stock SKU: product name, SKU, quantity on hand, threshold, and today's date
    • Mark each row 'Draft - pending approval' so nothing is sent automatically

Done when Every flagged SKU has a new row in the tracker sheet.

  4. 3

    • Post a summary of this run's low-stock items in your #inventory channel
    • Include SKU, quantity, and a suggested reorder quantity for each
    • Include a link to the tracker sheet so you can approve and send orders from there

Done when You have received a Slack message with the full low-stock list and reorder draft.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will it place purchase orders automatically?

No - it only drafts the reorder list and posts it to Slack for your approval. No order is placed or sent until you say so.

How does it know my reorder threshold?

It reads the 'Low stock alert' threshold you have already set on each variant in Shopify Admin. You can override those thresholds in the plan without touching the store.

What if a SKU is already on order?

Add a column in your tracker sheet to mark items 'On order' and WebRun will skip those SKUs on future runs so you don't end up with duplicate reorders.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
