Automated Printify Variant Availability Checks

Every morning, WebRun opens Printify, walks your products variant by variant, checks each one is still available from its print provider, names the shop it is published to, posts the unavailable variants to Slack, and files the day's catalog check in Google Drive.

In short

How do I catch print on demand variants that went out of stock?

WebRun opens Printify each morning and checks every listed variant against its print provider's availability. It flags the sizes and colours that have gone unavailable, names the connected shop each is still published to, posts them to Slack, and files a dated catalog check in Google Drive.

  • Customers stop buying sizes that cannot be made
  • Every flagged variant names its provider and its live shop
  • A dated catalog check builds a record of unreliable variants

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens printify.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Printify - check every variant's availability
    printify.com
WebRun in Printify: check every variant's availability
WebRun opens Printify to check every variant's availability.
    • Open Printify and list every product with its print provider and connected shops
    • Walk each product's variants and read the availability shown for its size and colour
    • Flag any variant marked unavailable or out of stock at its provider
    • Note which connected shop each flagged variant is still published to

Done when Every listed variant has an availability status and a shop.

  3. 2
Slack - post the unavailable variants
    slack.com
WebRun in Slack: post the unavailable variants
WebRun opens Slack to post the unavailable variants.
    • Post the unavailable variants grouped by product, naming the size, colour, provider, and shop
    • Put best selling products first so the costly gaps get fixed first
    • Suggest the alternative provider where the same variant is available, and leave the swap to you

Done when The store channel has today's unavailable variant list in Slack.

  4. 3
Google Drive - file the catalog check
    drive.google.com
WebRun in Google Drive: file the catalog check
WebRun opens Google Drive to file the catalog check.
    • Save a dated catalog check listing every product, variant, and status
    • Keep one file per day so a variant that keeps flickering in and out is visible over time
    • File it in your store operations folder

Done when The day's catalog check is filed in Google Drive.

Questions, answered

Will it unpublish or edit my listings?

No. WebRun reports which variants have gone unavailable and where they are still listed. Pausing a listing, swapping the provider, or removing a variant stays your decision in Printify.

Does it check the shop or just Printify?

It reads availability in Printify and names the connected shop each flagged variant is still published to, so you know exactly which storefront a customer could still buy the unavailable option from.

What about a variant that comes back in stock?

Each run reads live availability, so a variant that returns simply stops appearing on the list. The dated file in Google Drive shows which ones keep flickering in and out.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
