In short

How do I automatically check whether podcast episodes are ready to publish?

Every morning, WebRun opens Buzzsprout and checks every scheduled or draft episode for missing show notes, artwork, and a publish date. It posts a Slack alert listing any gaps and drafts a summary email for the producer so the team can fix issues before any episode goes live.

  • No episode publishes with a blank description or missing artwork
  • The team is alerted every morning to any readiness gaps without opening Buzzsprout
  • Producers receive a Gmail draft summary to action or share with the team

Questions, answered

Will it publish or unpublish episodes on my behalf?

No. WebRun only reads episode details and reports gaps. It never publishes, reschedules, or changes any episode in Buzzsprout. All publish actions remain with the producer.

Which fields does it check for readiness?

It checks for a non-blank show notes field, an uploaded episode artwork image, and a set publish date and time. You can add more fields to the checklist in the workflow settings.

What if all episodes are complete?

WebRun posts a short confirmation to Slack letting the team know that every scheduled episode has all required fields and is ready to publish. No alarm, no action needed.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
