Questions, answered
Will it update prices in Shopify or Square automatically?
No. WebRun only flags mismatches and reports them in Slack. No price is changed in either system without a staff member making the update manually. This keeps you in control of every pricing decision.
How does it match products across both systems?
It matches by SKU first, and falls back to product name for items without a SKU. For the most reliable results, keep SKUs consistent in both Shopify and Square, which takes only a few minutes to set up.
What if there are always small rounding differences?
You can set a tolerance during setup, for example flag only items where the price differs by more than five cents. Products within the tolerance are skipped so the Slack report stays focused on genuine discrepancies.
