Automated Occupational Health Lab Results Routing

Every morning, WebRun opens Enterprise Health, finds all drug screen and laboratory results received since the prior run that have not yet been marked reviewed, matches each result to the assigned clinician, posts an internal Slack alert to that clinician, and logs every routed result in Google Sheets for audit tracking.

In short

How do I automatically route unreviewed drug screen and lab results to the right clinician?

WebRun opens Enterprise Health every morning, finds all drug screen and lab results received since the prior run that have not been reviewed, matches each to the assigned clinician, posts an internal Slack alert with the result type and collection date, and logs every routing action in Google Sheets so no unreviewed result sits unnoticed in the queue.

  • Every unreviewed drug screen or lab result reaches the assigned clinician the same morning it arrives
  • Clinicians open Slack to a clear list of pending results rather than monitoring the EHR inbox manually
  • A full audit log captures every routing action with timestamps for compliance reporting

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens www.enterprisehealth.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1

    • For each result, capture the employee name, result type, collection date, assigned clinician, and any flagged abnormal values

Done when Every unreviewed drug screen and lab result is listed with the assigned clinician.

  3. 2
Slack - alert assigned clinician internally

    • Post an internal alert to each clinician's Slack channel listing their unreviewed results
    • Include the result type and collection date for each item but omit detailed health values from the Slack message
    • Never route result details to any channel other than the assigned clinician's private workspace

Done when Each clinician with pending results has received an internal Slack alert.

  4. 3
Google Sheets - log routed results for audit
    google.com
WebRun in Google Sheets: log routed results for audit

    • Open the results routing audit log spreadsheet
    • Append a row for each routed result with the result type, collection date, assigned clinician, and routing timestamp
    • Mark each row as Pending Review so the audit log reflects current review status

Done when Every routed result has an audit log entry with routing timestamp and pending status.

Questions, answered

Does it send the actual result values to Slack?

No. The Slack alert tells the clinician they have a pending result to review in Enterprise Health, but detailed health values and identifiable patient information stay inside the EHR. The message contains only the result type and collection date.

Will it notify the employee or employer about the result?

No. All routing is internal to the assigned clinician. Any communication about results to the employee or their employer is a clinical decision left entirely to the clinician after reviewing the record in Enterprise Health.

What if the clinician already reviewed the result before the morning run?

Enterprise Health updates review status in real time. Any result already marked reviewed before the daily run is excluded from the routing alert so clinicians are not notified about results they have already actioned.
