Automated Revel Outlier Discount Detection
Every morning, WebRun opens Revel Systems, reviews the prior day's discount and comp transactions at every location, compares each employee's discount rate against your threshold, and posts a Slack alert listing any outlier discounts with the employee name, location, amount, and transaction time.
How do I automatically detect unusual discounts across all my POS locations?
WebRun scans every Revel Systems location's prior-day transactions each morning, extracts all discounts and comps, and flags any that exceed your configured thresholds. The daily report posts to a Slack management channel with the employee name, location, amount, and time, giving operators fast visibility into potential shrink or policy violations.
- Discount policy violations surfaced within hours, not weeks
- Management sees every location's anomalies in one Slack message each morning
- Reduced shrink from unauthorized discounts and comps
Built for multi-location restaurant managers · retail loss prevention teams · franchise operators · district managers

Questions, answered
What counts as an outlier discount?
You set the threshold. Common settings are any single discount above a fixed dollar amount, any employee whose daily discount rate exceeds a percentage, or any manager-override comp applied outside approved hours.
Does it take any action against the employee flagged?
No. WebRun only reports the anomaly to your management channel. Any follow-up with employees is handled by your team, not by WebRun.
Will it catch voided transactions as well?
Voids are a separate signal tracked in the void-anomaly template. This template focuses specifically on discounts and comps so each alert type stays clean and actionable.
