Sonio Automated NIPT Result Tracking
Each morning, WebRun opens Sonio, checks which NIPT orders have results back and which are still outstanding, updates a Google Sheets tracker, and for results that are in but not yet returned, drafts a neutral Twilio text asking the patient to call the clinic, left unsent for staff to review and send.
How do I make sure every NIPT result gets back to the patient?
WebRun opens Sonio each morning and checks every NIPT order for whether the result is back, pending, or already returned. It updates a Google Sheets tracker and, for results awaiting return, drafts a neutral Twilio text asking the patient to call, stating no result and left unsent, so staff return findings safely.
- No NIPT result sits in the system without being returned to the patient
- Overdue lab orders are flagged so staff can chase the lab
- Call-in texts stay result-free and always go out after staff review
Built for maternal-fetal medicine clinics · prenatal genetic counselors · MFM patient coordinators · high-risk OB practices
What does WebRun do on every run?
The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.
-
WebRun signs in and gets to work
Opens
app.sonio.aiin a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys. -
1
Sonio - track NIPT result status
WebRun opens Sonio to track which NIPT results are back or pending. - Open Sonio and list patients with an NIPT order on file
- For each, check whether the result is back, still pending, or already returned to the patient
- Flag results that are in but not yet communicated, and orders overdue from the lab
- Capture patient initials, order date, result status, and preferred contact channel
Done when Every NIPT order is classified as returned, result-in-not-returned, or still pending.
-
2
Google Sheets - log returned versus pending
WebRun updates the internal NIPT tracker with each order's status. - Open the NIPT tracking spreadsheet
- Update each order's row with its current status and the days since the order
- Highlight results that are in but not returned and orders overdue from the lab
- Record result category only as a status, never the specific finding
Done when The tracker reflects the live status of every NIPT order with overdue items highlighted.
-
3
Twilio - draft a neutral call-in text
WebRun drafts a neutral call-in text, left unsent for staff review. - For results that are in but not yet returned, draft a short, neutral Twilio text asking the patient to call the clinic
- Use a first name only and never state the result, whether it is normal, or any clinical detail
- Save each message as a draft in Twilio and leave it unsent for staff to review and send. Do not send any text automatically
Done when A neutral call-in text is drafted in Twilio for each result awaiting return, pending review.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it tell a patient their NIPT result by text?
No. The draft only asks the patient to call the clinic and never states the result, whether it is normal, or any clinical detail. Staff review and send each text, and the result itself is always given by a clinician.
Does it send anything to patients on its own?
No. WebRun updates the internal tracker automatically, but every Twilio text is saved as an unsent draft for staff to review and send, so no message reaches a patient without a human approving it.
How does it know a result still needs returning?
It reads each NIPT order in Sonio and checks whether the result is back and whether it has been returned to the patient. Results that are in but not yet communicated get a draft; results already returned are left alone.
