Automated JD.com Low Stock Alerts

Every morning, WebRun signs into your JD.com seller account, reads the stock level and recent sales pace for each active listing, works out which products will sell out within your lead time, texts you the urgent ones through Twilio, and opens a Trello reorder card for each so the purchase actually gets placed.

In short

How do I get warned before a product runs out of stock?

WebRun checks your JD.com seller inventory every morning and compares each listing's stock against its recent sales pace. Products that will run out inside your supplier lead time get texted to you through Twilio and opened as a Trello reorder card, so you buy before the listing sells out.

  • Reorders start while there is still cover, not after the listing goes dark
  • Every short product has a card with the numbers a buyer needs
  • Zero-stock listings are caught the same morning they empty

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens jd.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
JD.com - check stock against sales pace
    jd.com
WebRun in JD.com: check stock against sales pace
WebRun opens JD.com to check stock against sales pace.
    • Sign into your JD.com seller account and open the product and inventory list
    • Read the available quantity for each active listing
    • Read the last two weeks of units sold for each product to get a daily sales pace
    • Divide stock by pace to estimate days of cover remaining
    • Flag any product with fewer days of cover than your supplier lead time, and flag anything already at zero

Done when Every active listing has a days-of-cover figure and a flag if it is short.

  3. 2
Twilio - text you the urgent lines
    twilio.com
WebRun in Twilio: text you the urgent lines
WebRun opens Twilio to text you the urgent lines.
    • Send yourself a Twilio text listing the products with the least cover left
    • Lead with anything already at zero, since those listings are losing sales right now
    • Keep the text to product name, units left, and days of cover
    • Send to your own number and your buyer's number only. WebRun never texts a customer or a supplier

Done when You have been texted this morning's urgent stock lines.

  4. 3
Trello - open a reorder card per product
    trello.com
WebRun in Trello: open a reorder card per product
WebRun opens Trello to open a reorder card per product.
    • Open your purchasing board in Trello
    • Create one reorder card per flagged product with the SKU, units left, and daily sales pace
    • Set the due date to today minus nothing, using the supplier lead time to show how late the order already is
    • Skip products that already have an open reorder card from an earlier run
    • Never place a purchase order or contact a supplier. WebRun prepares the card and a human buys

Done when Each short product has an open reorder card with its numbers attached.

Questions, answered

Will it place orders with my suppliers?

No. WebRun opens a Trello reorder card with the numbers a buyer needs and stops there. Placing the purchase order, agreeing quantities, and contacting the supplier all stay with a human.

How does it decide what is running short?

It divides the units you have left by the daily sales pace from the last two weeks, which gives days of cover. Anything with fewer days of cover than your supplier lead time gets flagged, and anything already at zero goes first.

Will it change my listings or prices?

No. WebRun only reads your JD.com seller data. It never edits a listing, changes a price, pauses a product, or updates a stock number in the store.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
