Alert your charge nurse before the infusion schedule exceeds safe staffing ratios

Every morning, WebRun opens WeInfuse's schedule, counts patients per time slot for the current day, compares each slot against your configured nurse-to-patient ratio, and posts a Slack alert to the charge nurse listing any slot where patient volume exceeds the safe staffing threshold.

In short

How can I automatically alert the charge nurse when the infusion schedule exceeds nursing ratios?

Every morning, WebRun reads WeInfuse's infusion schedule, calculates patient volume per time slot, and compares each slot to your configured nurse-to-patient ratio. If any slot exceeds the threshold, a Slack alert goes to the charge nurse with the time, count, and breach details before the first patient arrives, giving time to adjust staffing.

  • Nursing ratio concerns are flagged before the first patient, not during the shift
  • Charge nurses get an actionable alert with time slot and count details, not a raw schedule
  • Safe staffing slots are confirmed with an all-clear every morning

Questions, answered

What nurse-to-patient ratio does it use?

It uses the ratio you configure in your WebRun run settings, such as 1 nurse to 4 patients. Update it any time your policy changes or your center expands. No default ratio is assumed.

Does the alert include patient names?

No. The Slack alert shows time slots, patient counts, and nurse counts only. No patient names or PHI are included in the staffing notification.

Can it also check tomorrow's schedule the night before?

Yes. You can configure a second run in the evening to check the next day's schedule so the charge nurse and scheduler have overnight lead time to arrange coverage before the shift begins.

Put this on autopilot.
