Automated Waystar High Dollar Denial Alerts

Every hour, WebRun checks Waystar for newly posted denials above the dollar threshold you set, posts an immediate Slack alert to the revenue cycle leadership channel, and logs the claim to a Google Sheet high dollar tracker so the largest denials always get worked before smaller ones.

In short

How do I get alerted immediately when Waystar posts a high dollar denial?

WebRun checks Waystar every hour for newly posted denials above the dollar threshold you set. Each one triggers an immediate Slack alert to revenue cycle leadership naming the payer, amount, and appeal deadline, and gets logged to a Google Sheet tracker totaling dollars at risk. High value denials get worked first instead of waiting in a general queue.

  • A denial above your threshold reaches leadership within the hour it posts
  • Total dollars at risk are visible in one tracker instead of scattered across reports
  • The largest denials get worked first instead of waiting behind smaller claims

Built for revenue cycle directors · hospital CFOs · denial management leadership · patient financial services managers

Questions, answered

Who decides the dollar threshold that triggers an escalation?

You do. WebRun uses whatever threshold you configure, whether that is 10,000 dollars or 50,000 dollars, and only escalates denials at or above it.

Does it contact the payer to dispute the high dollar denial?

No. It only alerts your leadership team and logs the claim to the tracker. Disputing or appealing the denial with the payer is a decision and an action your team takes.

Does a high dollar denial ever fall off the tracker unnoticed?

No. It stays open in the Google Sheet tracker, counted in the total dollars at risk, until its status in Waystar changes to appealed, corrected, or resolved.

Put this on autopilot.
