Automated eClinicalWorks GI Prior Auth Tracking
Every morning, WebRun opens eClinicalWorks, finds all GI procedures with a pending or expiring prior authorization, logs each case to Airtable with its status and deadline, and posts an urgency-sorted digest to Slack so your authorization team knows exactly where to focus first.
How do I track gastroenterology prior authorizations so procedures are never delayed?
WebRun opens eClinicalWorks every morning and scans the prior-authorization worklist for all pending GI procedure cases. It logs each case with payer, status, and deadline to Airtable and posts a priority-sorted digest to Slack, so your authorization team starts the day knowing exactly which approvals to chase first.
- No prior authorization deadline is missed because cases were invisible in the queue
- Red-priority cases surface at the top of the Slack digest every morning
- Airtable gives the team a running tracker without manual data entry

How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it submit prior authorization requests on its own?
No. WebRun tracks and surfaces the status of existing authorizations. Submitting or re-submitting a prior authorization is a clinical and billing decision that requires staff action, so WebRun drafts nothing and submits nothing without human approval.
What happens when an authorization is approved or denied?
On the next morning run, WebRun reads the updated status in eClinicalWorks and updates the Airtable row to Approved or Denied, removing it from the active queue so staff see only the cases still needing attention.
Can it handle authorizations from multiple payers?
Yes. It captures the payer name from eClinicalWorks for each case, so Airtable and the Slack digest show the payer alongside the status, making it easy to batch-chase by insurance company.
