Automated New Shipper Credit Check Routing

When a new shipper row is added to your Google Sheets prospect tracker, WebRun opens DAT One to check for any payment warnings or carrier feedback associated with the shipper's MC or DOT number, logs the findings to Google Sheets, and posts a credit risk summary to Slack for the account manager to review before booking the first load.

In short

How do I automatically run a credit check on new shippers using DAT?

When a new shipper is added to your Google Sheets prospect tracker, WebRun opens DAT One to check for payment warnings and carrier feedback on that company. It assigns a risk level and posts a credit summary to the account manager's Slack, including a recommended payment term, so your team reviews creditworthiness before the first load is ever booked.

  • Credit risk reviewed before any load is booked with a new shipper
  • High-risk shippers flagged for manager approval automatically
  • No load ships on unreviewed credit terms

Built for freight brokers · credit managers · account managers · brokerage risk teams

Questions, answered

Does it approve or decline credit automatically?

No. WebRun surfaces the DAT payment history and assigns a risk level, then routes the findings to your account manager and credit reviewer in Slack. The decision to extend credit or set payment terms is always made by a human.

What DAT data does it use for the credit check?

It checks DAT One for any payment warnings, credit alerts, or carrier feedback associated with the shipper's company name or MC number. It reads what DAT has on file and does not pull external credit bureau data.

What if the shipper has no history in DAT?

If DAT has no record for the shipper, the summary will note insufficient history and flag them as requiring manual credit verification before booking. New shippers with no track record are treated as medium risk by default.
