Track checkride readiness

Every Monday, WebRun opens Talon Systems ETA and the endorsement tracker in Google Sheets, checks each advanced student's flight hours, stage-check completions, and endorsement status, flags students who are checkride-ready and those with gaps still to close, and posts a Slack readiness digest to the chief flight instructor.

In short

How do I automatically track which students are ready for a checkride?

Every Monday, WebRun reviews student hours and stage-check completions in Talon Systems ETA, cross-checks endorsement status in Google Sheets, and posts a Slack digest to the chief flight instructor listing who is checkride-ready and who still has specific gaps to close, so no student waits longer than necessary.

  • Ready students are identified every Monday without manual record review
  • Specific missing endorsements are called out so instructors know exactly what remains
  • No student stays in training longer than needed due to an overlooked gap

Questions, answered

How does WebRun know which endorsements each student needs?

WebRun reads the endorsement tracker in Google Sheets that your team maintains. Configure the required endorsement columns during setup and WebRun will flag any student where a required column is empty or marked incomplete.

Will it schedule the checkride automatically?

No. WebRun only surfaces readiness information and posts the digest. Scheduling the checkride, contacting the DPE, and issuing endorsements are decisions made by the chief flight instructor after reviewing the report.

What flight hour categories does it track?

By default, WebRun checks total hours, solo hours, and cross-country hours from Talon Systems ETA. The specific categories are configurable during setup to match your school's training syllabus and the applicable ACS.
